Got out on Newman about 7PM with my buddy Jake Z. Motored over to the west side of the lake, working the lilly pads with a Booyah topwater frog. after about 10-15 casts and using the "pull-pull-pause" big tiger slammed my frog. This was my first tiger ever, and at 45" probably one of the best I'll get for a while. Fished throughout the evening a landed a few bass but man, that tiger was a rush!

Awesome fish! Congrats on a very fine fish! Pretty sure after looking at her and comparing her, she is the same fish I caught two years ago! She is a bit skinnier now, but that could be the difference between just having had a meal of a bigger bait fish. Glad to see she is still alive! She made the Fall Special Edition of Muskie! magazine in the fall of 2010.

yes buc, same fish. I am 90% confident in saying that. She has several distinct marks that tell me that. She is actually longer than when I caught her. Girth isn't a very good indicator, so yes she could technically be quite a bit smaller, weight wise. Could be the difference between meals. I am pretty sure I have photos of her from that side which I could confirm it being the same fish when I get time.

dw Ok, that makes more sense. I had a similar experince at hauser but the fish was longer a year later but was not positve if it was the same but it also had a mark that i was sure it was the same. Thanks

Thanks for all the comments. I'm gonna try and get another musky, don't care how big. But won't complain if bigger!
