This lake gets hit HARD on opening Day. It's a put and take fishery. Year after year, I see people taking many fish over the limit during the first few days of the season. Watch out! The game warden loves to hang out here. If more people would practice catch and release, this could be a great lake to fish all summer long. As is, it gets fished out quickly! Mid summer fishing is pretty slow. At the very least, please release the wild cutthroat trout. There are a few kokanee trout the state planted a couple of years ago. Boat fishing is the best option as most of the shoreline is private property. NO GAS MOTORS. Try small black flies dragged across the surface. Good luck!
