fished rock for the first time this winter with crustyliner, and the bite is on! couldnt buy a fish on a stick bait, so we switched to apexes. i used orange, crusty used a purple pink one and a yellow one with orange stripes. (he has a 2 pole endorsement.) caught average size browns on the south end, a few at johnsons beach, then at the north end it was nuts! we never had a fish NOT on a line. nothing of any size, but a whole bunch. so back south we went. back at johnsons beach we caught a few more, and another kokanee. that makes 3 for us in rock lk. weird. but a fun time was had. we'll be back there this winter.

I talked to the biologist about putting Kokanee into Rock and he said he would give it some thought. That was about two weeks ago. Obviously you found one, the proof is in the picture, and it is a nice one two.

I don't think there are very many in there for sure, but, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Good report.

Wormeater, we have received rain this week, so who knows, but two weeks ago I had to drop my boat wheels over the edge of the cliff to offload my boat, then carefully use my 4x4 to pull it back. This is normal, but ....... we could use a little more water depth for sure.

yup water leveel is still low. we had to put the trailer off the ledge to launch. to load i was standing by the ledge in waders wrangling the boat on to the trailer. the water was just past my knees. oh, and i was using 2 1/2 colors of lead core while fishing. buddy used his downrigger at 15 ft.

I am amazed you got a koke, nice one. I don't remember ever getting one there, but we target the nice fat bows when possible. love that lake in spite of the launch!
