Hardcore! I winterized my boat last weekend and I live on the warm side of the state. I am a sad little man. Great job on still being out there!!!

Don't winterize your boat = winterize yourself. No crowds, boat launch empty, parking lot empty, fish up in the spectrum, air crisp, good times. Take a space heater, thermos of hot stuff, another angler. Be safe, enjoy the day. Some of the best days afield are when there's a great NFL game on the tube. You'll talk about it for weeks.

Great Bass. I've only been getting rainbows lately. Was going to go today but not sure. Might this afternoon, might be too cold. 52 degree water temp yesterday/Fri, 54, and 55 in one area Thursday.

@ mtngrizz, but it is hunting season, I got to hunt. Besides, I start fishing in February and the weather is not good then:)

The method of my madness: The later into the year I can fish, the sooner Spring seems to arrive !!! If it gets too cold, things freeze and can break on the boat. Also, they draw the lake down in Jan. so, maybe 1 months worth of reports, weather permitting !

Hey Scott, I live in Suncrest and have 2 private launch ramps to choose from. I have a 20ft Ranger and would love to learn how to catch the big LM in the winter months. We picked up a few dink small mouth last weekend 15-30 feet down on small jigs but no big fish. Maybe we should hook it up?

Scott Pratt,
First, I appreciate the offer ! Second, just go fishin'. Cover alot of water. This time of year, if you catch a largemouth, you may not be able to pattern that spot. Just move on keep covering water. There are days I don't catch a thing. You don't hear about those days. Many of the days I post, I may only catch one good fish and sometimes more. Don't spend too much time in non-productive areas and go have fun. Time on the water will increase success ! Scott
