1/4/2013 8:05:00 AMIts nice to see other people are fishing American in the winter. I have been doing a little dock fishing myself because it has been a little cold to sit in my boat. What part of the lake are you fishing? Normally I would use size 16 hook and worm or maggots and 2lb leader. The only way I have been catching fish is with 6ft leader, size 6 red hook, and 3 power eggs crammed on it. It goes against everything I usually do for trout but this combo has been getting me some nice size winter trout. Oh yeah and all the fish I have caught this winter I have used Mike's UV garlic scent. Great report look forward to seeing more.

1/4/2013 6:25:00 PMI agree the keys in American Lake right now are small hooks, yellow PowerBait and some sort of garlic scent. That and putting in the time, like jerry said.
