I tried some fishing at the Mosseyrock Dam fishing area, off of Highway 12. It was sunny and a little cold. There was a little wind blowing in from the lake. The fishing calendar rated it a poor day. I got there at 3:10 in the afternoon. The water level is still low. I counted 8 other people fishing there. The action was slow. The fish were not biting much at all. I had 3 solid strikes, but did not catch any. One guy said he had caught one previously. I didn't see anybody bring one in. I was using shrimp for bait, about 7 feet down.

You must have missed the bite! I was there from 11:00 A.M. until 1:55 P.M. on friday and caught my limit. I was using a night crawler at about 7 feet.

Hi, Interesting, thanks. I did do better on a previous trip there, when I went earlier. I was trying out a different lake eariler in the day, this lastest trip. May just have to make a bee line for Riffe Lake next time. .
