Got the pontoon boats out on the lake around 8 a.m. Water was calm and clear as glass, warm beautiful day. Worked clock wise from the launch to the other side of the lake. Threw just about every bass lure I had and never had a hit. I used some trusty go to lures for general fish species. I went shallow, I went deep and everywhere in between. I didn't even see any fish in the water, no fish surfacing the water, no frogs, no bugs... What happened to this lake. I used to catch huge bass out of this lake several years ago. I know it's not May or June but something should have bumped my line, especially when other lakes in the neighbor hood are hot. I'm not a professional bass fisherman by no means, but I usually do pretty good. What gives? Won't be back anytime soon.

Probably fishing to shallow. I don't think they will start staging in the shallow water for a while yet.

Sunday Lake was one of my favorites years ago. caught a few quite nice largemouth there. Fished from a canoe.

I used to hit Sunday lake a lot in the late 80's to early 90's when it was slotted 12"-15" release. Used to catch a lot of 15"-17" in that lake on top water. Earliest I ever caught any bass there was in March on green spinner bait. But lake is usually slow until May or so. Also in 90's the home owners sprayed the lake to get rid of the millfoil and lake hasn't been the same since. I would say still too early for that lake.
