I fished from about 7:30pm to 9:15pm from the shore along I-5. I tried power bait (corn yellow then orange) off the bottom and didn't get a bite. I then switched to worms and orange power eggs under a bobber and got one about 11 inches. There was a guy there in a little pontoon raft, trolling pop gear and he was doing very well. He had friends fishing from shore at the east end of the motel and they caught about 6 fish (8-12 inches) fishing 7-15 feet under a slip bobber with just worms. If you have never fished this lake before, be warned it is what I call Fishing Of Last Resort. The noise from the freeway (which is only 50 yards away) is very loud. Bank access is very limited and there is a fair amount of litter at the places you can fish from. I go there because it is 5 minutes from my house and it is better than watching TV.
