Chris Ferry and I fished the Potholes Open this past weekend and finished in 5th place. 52 teams blanked as high winds hampered folks from feeling the bite. Fished for largies until 2PM without a bite and decided to hit Lind Coulee area. That was a good decsioon as we caught 5 fish for 15.5 lbs in less than an hour. Drop shot, football head, and a crank bait were used to catch these fish.

Sunday we tried for smallmouth again with no success so we headed back to the dunes where I caught a 6.22 largemouth and a 2-1/2lb largie. Big fish are starting to move up. Potholes should be on fire within the next 4-5 days.

Jigs took the two largies flipping in laydowns.
