Went out in my buddies boat he just purchased and took his 3 kids out for opening day action. Lake ended up being very busy but thats to be expected for opening weekend. Sheriff was on the lake for a bit checking everyone for safety equipment, talked with him for a minute and he was telling me that every boat he came to had fish. Our boat caught 15 all together with two carry overs that probably pushed over 2lbs each rest were a bunch of planters caught on multiple types of fishing strategies spinners, powerbait etc. All in all it was a great day had lots of fun besides the boaters that cant seem to figure out how to plane out their boats making the wake unpleasant to deal with in a 14 aluminum.

I personally believe Fishtrap should have a speed limit. I've seen small boats mashed by the wakes from bigger boats. Sometimes people slow down thinking slower will help and leave their boat pushing a wall of water; better to be up on plane at speed producing less wake. Jet boats really make a BIG wave when not up on plane.

Especially this weekend since the lake was packed with people theres no need for everyone to be speeding around on it.
