I wanted to fish american lake for kokes, so I talked Mr KAZ into fishing out of his nice 18 ft alumaweld. Showed up at the launch around 05:30 with donuts and mochas. As I was walking to the boat Kokanee slayer pulled up and what a nice set up he has also. We headed out the launch and turned right towards bill's boat house. I had a drive by and Mr KAZ put one in the boat. Trolled around the island and was on the va side and Mr KAZ was knocking them dead. He was stacking at 40' and 50' and I was at 30' He had some kind of triangle pink dodger with a home made pink hoochi, and I had a Dick Nite pink splatter dodger with pink splatter squiddy thang. It must have been the motion of the dodger, Mr KAZ was done pretty quickly. I even dropped to 40' with him, and when we trolled thru the fish, he was the one with the bites.I even did the kokanee dance to better my odds, and that didn't work. Plus Mr KAZ was laughing pretty hard too. So I stole his dodger and went back to 40' and put the remaining fish in the boat. I did lose one nice koke right behind the boat. I also changed from garlic scent back to anise/krill and that worked too. We finished the day with 2 nice trout and 8 kokes. I cleaned the fish and dropped them in the smoker this morning.
