Wow! Today was interesting. I had all these lakes that I could have have entertained, but I heard some cool Intel. on Wilderness for LMB!
So I broke out of my Urban LMB fishing cycle. I went all the way down to Wilderness, via N. Seattle.

This is a beautiful lake. It is crystal/ freakin' Gin CLEAR!. That might be it's problem. I launched from the park. I covered the N. end of the lake ... very slowly. That's my style. There are a ton of down trees. You will be all bass excited. However.... it is a little late for bass in the shallow waters. I found numerous bass beds, with nobody livin' on them. Lots of SHWEET! looking logs! You can see a Titelist (golf ball) --6-- at twenty feet. but yet.... NO BASS alongside it.
I did have two little pecks ( bites) on a drop shot rig , directly across from the park launch.
Met up with a very nice 15 y /o kid in his float tube, and chatted him up. I thought I was seeing my self in 1978.

If anyone has any tips on how to fish this lake, I'm totally serious!! Help a brutha out.
Send me a PM. It is a really cool lake . It sits right on the edge of Urban crap... and rural, beautimous! clear water, etc.

I've only been to Wilderness a few of times. And that was years ago now. Only thing I remember about it is, my buddy said that lake is full of leeches.

I used to fish that lake quite a bit years ago. I caught lots of bass up to about 3 1/2 pounds and saw others that were bigger. My best lure was long casts with a silver floating Rapala. The fish must see the lure before it sees you.

They are Canadian Geese eggs. Most likely abandoned, and it looks as though snacked on. There's a nest on St. Claire that had two abandoned eggs in it.

Those eggs are huge! Leeches? That is a good thing to know, when you known to float around in a belly boat with shorts on! Quad, are you reading this? LEECHES!

4lb test and #3Bob's advice worked there for me. There are some godun's in there, or were a while back! Cloudy days or a chop helps too.
