I haven't been to the north end of the lake yet. So I planned on doing that today. As I'm boating out at maybe the halfway point, my stomach feels a little funny..... At about 3/4 of the way up, it was either bend over-board and feed the fishies or turn around and get back to the launch. I do have a bucket in the livewell too.... Barely made it back to the launch and take care of business, LOL. Warning though, the last stall in the men's restroom needs a new gasket for the toilet. Water will leak underneath when you flush.

Rough start, but we'll try again, round 2.....kekekeke

Anyways, I get to the north end of the lake and start working the dropoff along the east side. I do see a lot of surface activity. Small fish and fingerlings. Some LMB, some SMB, some perch and either pike minnows or peamouths. Can't tell for sure. Lots and lots of them. Got several nips but no fishy.

Saw a huge turtle surface a couple of times.

Anyways, I get to this weed field. Depth ranged from 9-16' and the weed is maybe 1-2' under the surface. This has to hold something underneath I would think. Perfect time to use my new flipping/pitching combo. Used a 1oz lure to punch through. NADA. But the outer edge of this field was holding tons of small fish. Tried fishing on the outside too, no luck.

Eventually I went deeper. I get to a deep point @ about 25'. I see something on sonar. I tried the dropshot first without anything. Then I casted out a tube. After a couple of casts, I felt the tick. BAM, fish on! A flash of silver comes shooting out of the water. I see it's a big trout. I finally get it into the net, a very nice chunky ~18" cut-throat.

Tried working the area without anything else.

I decided I'll try some deep docks. ~15-20' or so. Anyways, I spotted a small SMB following a swimbait on my 1st dock. Followed up with a dropshot. Then a tube but nada. Went to the next dock. 1st cast with a tube and fish on! I see it has 3 buddies chasing after it. 2 were a little bigger and the other about the same size. Just a little guy, maybe 8".

A dock or 2 away, I get a better fish on a dropshot. 15" SMB and was chunky.

Caught a small LMB, ~10" on another dock on a dropshot. Followed by a fat perch.

Several more dinks on the dropshot and tube. Snagged an old rope.

Nice day on the lake though. Relaxing.

Well it was a crappy start, but you finished strong. :)
The weather has been so nice, and the bite is defiantly on! Nice turtle pic btw.

i only fished sammamish once but i believe i saw that same exact turtle. it was huge and appeared to be a snapping turtle that was illegally released into the lake.
