First time fishing lake Morton, hit the water about 7am.
Went with father in law, on his new boat.
I started out fishing with worm on bottom. He used power bait and butt juice(no joke). Not actual butt juice, lol. Scented bait attractor for fish.
Anyway, took about an hour before he hooked a rainbow. Then I followed with a small bass, spot the hook at boat though.
Moved to deeper water and bingo, that was the key. About 18-19' deep.
I switched over to green, marshmallow and worm, with a touch of the pro cure butt juice.
Father in law, same bait. As the day went on, the bite picked up.
We boated about 12 fish. Fun day.
I will give Morton a try again in future.
Would have rated a 4, but no really big fish.
