Spent Sunday on Tapps. Caught nearly 20 fish, 5 of which were 14"-16". Decided just to use a drop shot all day and was pleased with the results. Thought I had only caught SMB, but the that's a LMB in the second photo (he wouldn't stay put on the ruler for his official portrait). Fish were caught in 15-25 feet in open water, along edge of submerged weed beds, edges of surface vegetation, and at bridges. Was windy and foggy in the morning and the overcast didn't burn off unit late morning. Used 4" KVD "Dream Shot" and Robo worms. Had several bites that took the end of the KVDs off. Pierce Co Sheriff was also on the water - don't know if they caught anything ;-).

To me the second picture looks like a darker smallie. Nice one!

Meant to type, "...but is that a LMB in the second photo...?" Was going by the location of the jaw to the eye. Good fight though...

Yep, smallmouth. Though dark, the color still gives it away. And the back of the mouth is in front of the eye. Both very nice fish though. Congrats!
