9/2/2013 9:07:00 AMThe pleasure boats on Spencer are terrible! But that lake does have some pigs in it. I've seen at least three bass that would have pushed 10 pounds. Two of them back in the little lake. Another lake that can be a real sleeper is Phillips just up the road.

9/2/2013 9:07:00 AMNice Bass! I have seen a few of those big boys in Spencer but never landed anything (in Spencer) over 4 pounds. Last trip there I was surprised to hook a small smallmouth.

9/2/2013 12:27:00 PMHooked my first smallmouth outta spencer on Sunday. Talked to a guy fishing last wednesday who claimed he pulled a 4 lb smallie out. thanks for the info on the cove there at spencer. Ive fished in there without much success. I'll give it another try though. Never fished phillips but i've been meaning to give it a try. I caught the big guy in the weeds on the opposite side of the lake from the launch.
