Took the boat out and was on the water by 9:30 am. Launched from the public launch.and headed to the far end of the lake into the no wake area. Dropped ancor near the highway right there. Sky was over cast today which made for a great day for all. My wife caught over 40 fish, catfish, bass, trout, perch. I caught over 20+. Took my adult son also he managed 10. All were catch and release. Fished the bottom, with a bobber and a few worms rigged on a harness. Was best day fishing this year. Wifes words.we were planning on staying into the evening but by 5 pm this group was beat. We were using nightcrawlers as bait, split so one worm = 2 baits. Waiting to see what happens with the weather to head out again

There are a ton of fish in Black Lake, that's for sure. Glad to see all you caught were released, after treatment of the lake for algae bloom recently the fish are considered non--edible and the state says throw them back.Lots of fun with those kinds of numbers and species.Bob R
