Fishing on Lake Chelan for 2 to 6 pound Mackinaw has ranged from good to tremendous. We have been pulling mainly K-Lures and U-20 flatfish near the bottom in 150 to 250 feet of water. We have been seeing more suspended fish. The big fish of the week was caught 50' down over 150' of water.
Rufus Woods has been dead slow for rainbow and kokanee. I have received reports of good perch fishing 4 or 5 miles up from Chief Joseph dam. The surface water of the reservoir has been very cold with temps ranging from 35.5 to 37 degrees Farenheit.
The cold nights have kept the ice cap clinging to Roses Lake.
