Went out with my Gf for our first ice fishing trip ever. Arrived around 9am only one other person on the ice. Thankfully two more arrived soon after us and were kind enough to show us the ropes on the ice. Ice was stable all day about 3-5" in most places it seemed. It was a slow day for all of us with only one nibble which ended with the pole going straight into his hole early in the morning. Must of been a big one. Made two holes each using a few different baits mostly worms and powerbait. Then moved around 1130 again nothing for about a hour. My Gf had a nibble with no follow through then 5 mins later boom my rod fish on. Had a small tough battle then up on the ice she went. 23in and 3.5 pounds. It was a great first trip.

I always say that even one fish will make a good day out of a lousy day. A whopper like that one makes it a super day. Nice catch and beautiful fish.

To be honest I can't say, from the looks of it there were a lot of holes and blood around a good number of them scattered all up and down the lake and on both side. We were fishing about 4 ft deep maybe 5
