Decided since it wasn't raining to head out to rock lake. Fished from 12-4, water temp 35, air temp 45. No joy trolling with mono or leadcore, or throwing spinners and cranks. Fished the south end. Visibility was about 1 foot. there wasn't any debris in the water, just really murky. Was marking fish in places on drop offs and elsewhere in the 10-40 foot range. Only one other trailer in the parking area. Sounds like the water level has gone down compared with a couple of weeks ago.

In the past I have tried Rock during run-off with no luck. I bet the mud is flowing in a torrent at the North end! Have to wait it out for sure.

I wouldn't have gone if I knew for sure the vis was only a foot. Seemed like the level wasn't up too much, but I didn't go up to the inlet. Palouse river was like mud, but by the time I had gotten to Palouse I was already committed. Might give it another try in a couple of weeks.
