Day three (sort of) at Hayden. I only slept for two hours before my first real shot at the kokes Friday, as I was busy getting my new rods ready, tying leaders, and getting everything all set Thursday night. This pays large dividends as you will read elsewhere, and gives you more time fishing but can be hard on a guy if he waits until the night before fishing... Anyway, being short on sleep I slept in on Saturday and didn't get on the water until 10:00.

As I mentioned previously, the early morning bite hasn't produced for me and I've found a 10:00 bite pretty spot on so I opted for some sleep and shot for that. Motored back to my honey hole and got lines dropped. About five minutes after having them down the madness began. Having these fish patterned at this point is really nice and I didn't keep track of many specific hook ups as they were all similar depths, speed, gear, trolling pattern etc. Had a bite from 10:00 until 2:00, it wasn't red hot, and ended up with 6/12. If you find fish stay on them and keep doing what works.

Weather was rougher today, although I fished a break in the system again. It was spotty spring weather, with periods of gusty wind and some showers with periods of sun. I saw some intense rain coming, and just as I pulled off the water it hit so I was happy to be in my warm truck cab. Water was cooler with the snow/rain mix, and this may have slowed the bite down, but more kokes in the cooler so no complaints.
