Started fishing about 6 PM with my son using intermediate sinking lines trolling carey special flies. Trolled down to the northernest most corner of the lake and managed to eventually hook up with 3 fish ranging between 12-15 inches in length. All 3 of these fish were rainbows. Eventually trolled back towards the boat launch area as darkness began to approach and noticed numerous fish beginning to start surface feeding. Shortened up some of the line we had out and immediately began to take fish. Caught 6 more fish, all apparently rainbows ranging between 13-17 inches. 2 of the fish that we caught were slightly different being they were darker in color (almost like they were spawners) and the spotting on the fish were small black spots and almost exclusively located between the dorsal fin and the tail. The other fish caught were normal bright fish and had spotting completely on the length of the fish. Wonder if anyone else has caught fish similar to the 2 exceptions that I described?
