5/14/2014 2:48:00 PMDude those things are monsters!!! They should be...I drive by that and always wondered how in the hell you would get out to fish with a yak...Shore just looks impossible to cast. Way to bush whack your way to some fish. I am hoping Solo Point opens up again to launch. It was closed a month or so ago due to cougar sightings and rock fish mating...Have you ever hit the creek or the surrounding creeks?

5/14/2014 3:00:00 PMNever touched Solo point. Are you talking about the sound area? Or are you talking about freshwater creeks around the area? I'm fairly new to this area but am willing to try any fishing spots.

5/15/2014 1:30:00 PMI used to fish Sequalitchew quite often in the late 80s and 90s when I was stationed at McChord, it was an excellent bass lake. Raising all of those salmon just makes for some tasty treats for the large mouth. Have you tried Johnson Marsh near the east gate of Ft Lewis? It also used to hold quite a few bass; you can find it on a Ft Lewis special map. There is also another small marsh just north of Johnsons marsh that held bass and crappie, it is another small body of water perfect to fish from a kayak.
