Tree 11, where else? Tried using a powerbait color that worked well a couple years back (last time I was there) but nothing, then an elderly cuple motored up and was knocking them dead. All I could see is what looked like yellow powerbait. I had a jar of some corn scented yellow powerbait so gave it a go....my buddy and I limited out within an hour after that. About 30' of water, sinkers 1.5-2 feet up from the bait on a #12 treble hook with the powerbait covering all of the hook including the eye. Decent pan sized rainbows and will be cooking them up tomorrow. Was pretty busy since it was free fishing weekend. Reports from others limiting out appears anything with corn was the trick, another couple was using corn and worms.

Way to hit it! Good job! I used to do real well from the shore, water level dependant at the WDFW ramp.

thanks for the info. I gave the guys in one of the boats near me the last of my corn powerbait cause they didnt have anything corn-ish or yellow, all they had was red powerbait. Im glad the powerbait jars are now plastic and thus float as I didnt quit get my throw to their boat but landed in the water where they could easily retrieve it.

oof duh! Been a long time since power bait for me, didn't know they were plastic. LOL Cast masters worked well from wdfw ramp, as well as flies and clear bobber.... bobber and a worm is pretty seductive to most as well, especially if it's still moving, smaller worms, not the canucks(although they work in a pinch).
