Beautiful morning. First cast at 8:20AM. Starting off in the shallows with a crank. Started to move out a little deeper and 1st fish of the day is a perch.

Start working a point with the crank and nothing. Swimbait, nothing but perch nipping. Toss out the DS and eventually get a bass in 15' of water at 8:30AM. It's left eyeball looks nasty. Not sure what's the deal with it. About 16". Continued working this point but couldn't get any more bass out of it. Since I caught this bass off a point. I went to the point yesterday where I was able to catch 5 relatively quickly.

Started off with a crank there. Then swimbait. Then DS. Shook off a dink at boat side on the crank. Decided to go to the other side of the lake and fish it for a bit.

Was working a steep rocky dropoff. Pretty sure all I felt were perch.

I know of a point that I've caught fish off before nearby, so I started heading there. As I get closer, I see a couple of guys in a blue boat to my left fishing. They were working the bank, heading towards that area. So I just turned and went farther north, working a different point.

Ran a deep diving crank along with a couple of nips, but nothing solid. Drop the DS down and get myself a feisty dink at about 12". Move past the point and try working the deep docks. Get another dink at about 10" by a boat.

Not much happening for me today. So I go even further north.

Was in 18' of water when I get a decent SMB on the DS. ~16". Healthy and strong.

I get to a shallow area with lots of rocks. Caught a handful of dinks there, ranging from 7-12". In the mix, I also caught a rock bass. I didn't know they had them in Sammamish. This is my first time catching one here.

I start heading south and stop off at another point. Ran my deep diving around and get a solid bite. Then I feel the headshakes and was stoked. Then no fight at all.... damn it, a squaw. Left the boat bleeding. I switch to DS and was watching my sonar. Then I heard this loud swoosh sound. Look up and see an eagle about 20' from me. Snatches the squaw right out of the water. My highlight of the day.

12:30PM and it's getting pretty toasty out. Gonna call it a day, but want to hit Fart Hole for a few minutes to see if I can redeem myself.

~10" dink on DS. Followed by a 12" dink. Then a ~6" dink. I started throwing a craw too. Saw line swimming away, but I didn't get a good hookset. Nothing on crank or swimbait there.

Called it quits at 1:15PM. Fart hole has exhausted itself.

Even though my bass count was about ~10". Too many dinks to make it a 3. If I had 2 or maybe just 1 more decent size bass, would have given it a 3 for the day. Still nice day to be out. Lots of eye candy.

At least you have been fishing more than me. I think I have been averaging about an hour a week since May. Thanks did the reports.

Wow, I have never seen a rock bass in Sammamish before either. #doingwork

Yeah, news to me too. I figure I would have caught one by now if they are in there. I remember when fishing American Lake, they are super aggressive over there.
