I fished Long Lake all last week with great success. Myself, my wife and my two kiddos caught many different species of fish, fishing off the dock. Lots of Large Mouth Bass, Smallies, A giant Northern Pike and a bunch of Walleye. Yes, we caught 6 or 7 Walleye and they weren't pikeminnows like I thought the first one was. We also caught Pikeminnows, so I had some to compare. The extra dorsal fin and teeth are dead giveaways. All in all it was a great week of fishing. And I still can't believe there are Walleye in Long Lake.

Nice, thanks for sharing. So what did the walleye take if I may ask? I've never caught one down there.

This is the third time this year that I have heard of Walleye being caught out of Long. Very interesting. Nice job by the way, always fun to catch a variety of species in a trip.

We caught the Walleye with live worms....we had no idea there were Walleye in the lake and I grew up fishing this lake a lot. Mainly teaching the kids to fish. Lol.... off the dock. Over 5 days we probably caught 6 or 7 Walleye, so they're in there.

I also caught a walleye out there while drop-shotting fishing for bass. It's only a matter of time before the big ones start showing up.
