Well I think the netting has slowed the bite down. 4 hours I lost 2 salmon, landed one and landed another cutt. Bites were far and few between each other. Compared to the past few days, it has slowed down tremendously. Still blessed to bring home fish though. Gonna give it two more tries tomorrow and Friday and that will be it for Lake Wa.. Unless it picks up again lol.

Have you been fishing lake WA the whole time from a pontoon?!
Nice catch. Sorry to hear things are slowing down though.

Yes sir, I use my pontoon for everything. It's trolls nice. Very convenient and easy to set up and launch. Even has a mini downrigger! No need to be sorry, I like the challenge.

Alright, I'm going to show my own ignorance here, but where are the Coho that enter Lake Washington going? As far as I know, only the Sammamish and Cedar rivers flow into the lake. Are they all going up the Cedar? Also, I'm intrigued by your pontoon setup. So I assume you just row everywhere, and you already said that you have a downrigger. Do you have a fish finder, or just pick your depth and go based upon intuition? Do you just throw the pontoon on top of your car to get it there and back? I remember you posting reports about having success up at Baker this year and it made me jealous! All I have is a rubber raft, for now....javascript:void(0);

They're going up the Sammamish to the hatchery in Issaquah.

AJFishDude- I have a battery and trolling motor that I use. The pontoon I bought is a "Classic Accessories Colorado" brand specially designed for fishing. On the back it has two motor mounts and a rack to store the battery and cooler if needed. I used to have a fish finder but it broke so now I have just been playing with the depths and finding which one they will bite at. Lots on the surface but no takers so I just go deep. The water is still pretty warm. As for transporting it, I just deflate it and pack it in the back seat of my car. Its very easy and convenient. I am an easy going guy so I dont mind pumping it and carrying it around. It gives a good workout. And as Mike has already stated they go up the sammamish slough to the hatchery. You can see them surface up that way.

Nice, that sounds like an awesome way to get out on the water before going with the full boat and trailer method. Thanks for the info! Love seeing all your reports by the way, maybe one of these days I'll see you on the river!
