2/2/2015 6:48:00 AMRest assured I will be going back to pike. Back in the day I was exclusively a walleye fisherman, then about 25 years ago I discovered pike. I don't eat much fish so I'm in it for the fight and the pike win that hands down. I do however enjoy walleye fishing and plan to do more of it this year.

2/2/2015 6:45:00 PMHow were you fishing the blade baits? We tried jigging with them for the first time on Monday this week along Medicare beach with no luck. I later heard someone saying to troll with them, but they are pretty heavy and we could not get any action with them unless we were moving what seemed like way to fast for Walleye fishing. We ended up with three in the 21"-22" range using bottom bouncers and worms. It was pretty slow for us though.

2/2/2015 9:10:00 PMThis was my first time fishing blade baits. Per instructions from lonnie197272, we casted the blade bait out, let it sink to the bottom, then gave it a firm upward jigging motion. We let the bait fall on a tight line and could feel the fish pick up the bait on the fall. Hope this helps. I'm certainly no expert on this method of fishing but by the end of the day I felt like I had the technique figured out pretty well. Now I just need to get back there and try it some more.
