Nice, this year has really started out with a bang. Perhaps a new state record is in the making.
PS - I can't help but notice, in not just this report but many past reports, that your measuring device is quite often not up to the task. You should pump your new boat's manufacturer for a larger measuring stick in exchange for the free advertising.

Ya, I have thought about getting a 24", I think it is, measuring stick, but just how often do I get a Bassy THAT long? lol

Nice fish! I've caught smallies on spoons, worms and plastics but it's usually been on accident. Do these guys stay deep this time of year? I hunt them in Lucern and release them, but I can only find them when they're starting to make their nests and i feel like its cheating.

Most are deep during the winters. This winter has been warm so they have been up and down. This is an early spring so they are up wandering now and then most days. Most that I've seen shallow are VERY spooky.
