Went to Potholes for the first time with a few friends on Sunday, we had never fished for walleye and wanted to give it a shot. After looking online for the best way to catch these fish we decided to try the Frenchman waterway, after finding what we thought was the waterway, we trolled bottom bouncers with a Slow Death rig and night crawler setup. Had no bites after two hours of trolling so we tried to get some perch. We threw jigs against the brush around 15 different dunes and didn't even get a bite. To end the day we went to crab creek (we just found the mass bunch of boats). After trolling for 3 hours in 14-35 feet of water we only had one bight between the three of us. Not sure what else to try. Any suggestions?

We had a rough day fishing out there that day too and some of the other guys we spoke to did as well. It sounds like slow death between 30-40 feet was the order of the day, but even then the bite was extremely slow. Hopefully things pick up soon.

How far back from the boat do you troll the spinners? Thank you for sharing
