Made the run all the way down to long lake dam again. The water is a little clearer but still murky. Only took about a hour to put 2 limits in the boat. Most of the bows are 14 1/2 to 15. Weighing a little over a pound bled. Trolled about 1.5. No flashers just some walleye spinner set ups with 2 hooks. Running yellow, red and orange. beautiful day. Only saw 2 other boats on the whole lake. The bows are warming up and getting spunky again. We had extra time on our hand so we tried around the rock island by the dam to see if any smallies were active. My friend was dropshotting a plasic worm and I tied on a orange kekeda fly tipped with gulp crawler and goofed around jigging it. No smallies but we released 5 more trout. Quite a few of the trout had small rocks in their stomachs and the occasional clam shell. Fun day with no other boats, sunny and no wind with the fishing picking up again. Going to fire up the smoker tomorrow . caught fish anywhere from 15 to 100 ft of water.

neither the dnr or the nine mile campground are open or their launches. The only public launch open is at fort Spokane. There are boat in camp spots open down by long lake dam. Pretty nice with docks, level tent spots, fire pits, picnic tables and outhouses. they are free still to stay in.
