Went out for a couple hours and caught 6 walleye. Only 2 were keeper size 19 and 20", the rest I released. Trolling the flats near crab creek. Slow death hooks trolling at 1.1 mph using planer boards. Hopefully the bite will be on this weekend, I'm going camping and fishing with my 7yr old.

What is the best place to launch the boat? Thank you for sharing!

There are several public and private places to launch a boat. I use the public launch just before the spill way outlet. You can put in at Mar Don resort, the state park, and from the beaches on the north side of the lake using road 6 SE to access. Hope this helps.

Thank you Team Britton. Im planning for this Friday and wondering if there is one with a dock or if not one where you can beach the boat. Thanks again!

As far as I know the only dock available this time of year is Mar Don Resort, I don't know what they charge to launch. Most of us just gently back the boat into the water and I usually wear hip waders and jump into the water and carefully place the boat on the beach so I don't scratch my boat. All boat launches have plenty of room to beach a boat while you park your truck.

Can you beach your boat if you're camping at the state park?

Hello esew, I don't know for sure if you can beach your boat at the state park. You can call them or call Mar Don Resort, may be they know.

Do you know if Lind Coulee boat launch has sandy beach around to safely beach the boat while parking the truck and trailer.
Thank you

Hello Danm,

The last time I launched my boat there the water was low and I don't remember there being any sand. Most of all the boat launches are the same. Some big rocks and 2" and smaller size rocks and gravel. I wish they had at least one public dock you don't have to pay to launch at. I hate beaching my boat, I don't want to scratch my paint.

If you have a partner, I have them stand in the water and hold the boat so the boat does not touch the beach at all, but most of the time it is just me and my 7 yr old, the boat is too big for him to hold so I have to beach it, wife only comes out when the weather is nice. Hope this helps.
