Had a great day at Loon. It was my first time at this lake and my first time fishing from a boat in a decade. I tried a mix bag of everything I see on my favourite youtube videos.

What did work:

25-50 ft depth, lure at 20-30 ft
North end of the lake East to West
South side of the NW cove West to East
Discontinued Lure (1 small blue smile blade, 1 red bead, 1 silver float, 1.5" rig configuration)
1.5" Cha Cha (Pink, Orange)
4 Blade Silver Flashlights (when it was sunny)
4.4" Double D
Anise

What didn't work:

All other spots in the lake (tried them all and still got multiple runs of the what did work spots)
Anything above 50 ft in all ranges
Wedding ring 1.5" configuration (Chartreuse/Pink)
Scent chamber - I didn't notice a difference with or without
4 Blade Silver Flashlights (when it was cloudy)
Garlic

Specie:
Kokanee(15) - all under 10" (only disappointment of the day)
Rainbow(9) - all over 20" and approaching 3 lbs
Rainbow Broods (3)- typical 3 lb size

Thanks for sharing. Headed over this weekend to relax and hook up with RB's, Tigers, & Macks. Saving the Kokes till late Aug. Appreciate the information. Tight lines!

No Problem! That silver/blue lure was a real winner. Unfortunately it was so old that it all came apart in the net after 10 fish or so. I noticed Orange squids were really hot on trout and Pink brought in more Kokanee.
