Launched out of Mill Park near Manson at about 6am with a couple other NWFR members. Only my 2nd trip to Chelan so still don't have the names of the landmarks down but bombed down to the blue roof condos to begin the morning. Dropped 4 lines down at 40, 50, 60 & 70 feet in about 200' of water and off we went at about 1.4mph.

Picked up 2 in that area after a few passes and decided to change spots. Ran up lake about 1 mile and dropped the lines again (South side of the lake in front of the condos before they quit and the road begins). Saw some action on the sonar and picked up a couple more right away.

Then we took a little forced break while I rigged my backup DR ball. Why?? Stupid move on my part. I was trying to multi-task and ran the ball into the rigger and snapped the braid. Just glad I had that spare ball!

Once we were back and trolling again we started marking fish between 100-120' do dropped down and picked up two more in the next few passes.

As is always the case time flies when you are having fun. 1pm came and I had to get back to take over kid-duty (so my wife could hit a winery) and help set up for the NWFR picnic.

Came home with 6 kokes, the largest being about 15". All caught on different color, flasher combos (pink, orange, purple) we were never able to get any 1 thing dialed in (though I am sure we would have if we had more time).

BEAUTIFUL day to be on the water though!!

Had a great time at the picnic - it was great seeing those I know and meeting others! The food was outstanding RSEAS and all those who contributed!!! I didn't win the casting contest this year so I guess I need to practice. My daughter won the kids contest which was better than me winning anyway. The 3' girl running around in the Dobbins "Dress" and hat - yep, that's my girl! The only complaint I have is she somehow she ended up with that damn Billy Bass. Thanks Mike... Thanks a lot... :P

We'll be there next year and hope to meet more of you all then!
