Went to the boat launch at Ketchum this morning. Got there about 6:30, geared up and lines in the water about 6:45, started packing up at 7:45 with my limit. This morning was more time spent getting the fish off the hook and re-rigging that actually fishing. Couldn't keep the fish off. Had one pole with 3 foot leader and chartreuse power eggs and the other with 4 foot leader and rainbow power eggs. The chartreuse and 3 foot set up saw all of the action except for the very last fish. Was trying to re-rig it when the other pole finally bent. I actually wouldn't have minded a bit slower action as I never even got a chance to finish my coffee. There isn't much room to fish there off of the launch. could maybe fit 4 people, any more and it would be a tangle fest. I was the only one there except for a boat on the water until someone else arrived as I was pulling out. All fish were anywhere from 10 - 11 1/2 inch planters from this year.

Nicely done. Its funny how sometimes you almost wish it weren't "quite " so hot on a bite. Barely have time to settle in. Haha

Actually went back again this morning. Same action early. Purposefully took my time this outing. Lost a few messing around getting my brother set up, enjoying my morning coffee, talking to someone else pulling their boat out. Looked out one time and saw a fish jump and realized it just jumped where my line was. Of course it had already got off by the time i realized what was going on. Weather warmed up fast this morning. Soon as it did, the bite died off. Its ok though another enjoyable day and 10 fish in the smoker right now.
