We headed to Summit lake for some fishing today and the whole family loaded up first time for the wife and my little girl on this boat and we had one hell of a good time. We arrived late around 10 am or just after that and it was pretty busy but not to bad. We got launched and headed to the center of the lake to get set up. Started trolling on the wire at 15 and 30 ft running wedding rings green and red were told to me to be the hot color of the day at the launch.

Well after a few minutes my little girl wanted her pole in the water so off it went with a worm on the end looking for a RB to give her a good time. Well about five minutes my pole goes off and I hand it off to my little girl and she reels in a 12" cookie cutter RB trout and she want to hold it so I give it to her and reset my gear. She plays with it for a few and welcomes it to the club and in the box it goes. She is now ready to reel in another now! I am like well you have to wait.....

All in all we had a great time and released four small RB and one small kokanee about 6" and came home with 2 rB and 2 nice kokes about 12" as well. I had heard of a few caught that were larger by other people on the lake. Just not my day but with the whole family in the boat they were all having fun except my son he did not even get a sniff. I was laughing as last time out he was the one reeling in the fish. He is ready to head out again without his sister or mom.

Anyway there was a ton of boats water skiing and tubing so we headed home about 3pm. The weather was sunny with a very nice breeze that kept the girls happy!! After we were done fishing made a few laps around the lake and then headed in.

All the fish caught were using Wanna fish a lure, bloody mary and the green ice was the hot ticket for us today tipped with corn and bloody tuna topped it off. My son was upset that I only one green ice and it was on my pole hooking fish after fish........nice!!

Whole family couldn't get in your other boat. They will come out more now.
All those lures you got and there wasn't a second Green Ice?

He could not find one in the bag....not really sure I was to busy reeling in fish and laughing with him. He is 19 years old but still fun to watch him learn and grow into a great fisherman.
