Decided it was time to hit the old lake for some kokes. It's been a while since I have fished for them. Ended up losing 6 and landing only 3. Would have stayed to get the last two but the boat traffic picked up pretty good. Today's setup was a red shasta tackle dodger and red wedding ring tipped with corn soaked in kokanee special oil. 30 ft on the wire was the ticket. Plenty of schools near the public dock. I also located a lot in the middle of the lake.

Back to Baker this weekend. I need to get on more fish after that rush on Sunday.

Tight lines.

Yes, they are around 14-15 inches now and very plump. The meat is getting darker. Great on the bbq. Baker is a fun lake. If you want great scenery and a break from the city its a fantastic trip. Catching a sockeye is a bonus.

Well then it's back to the ole lake again lucky dude sneeking out in the middle of the week , ok so nice looking fish too , Now I know it's time to check all the gear close and spend more time fishing.see what happens when ya work to hard miss all the fun. Baker Lake is nice no doubt a long drive to go fishing but now and then it's good to get a different look at the world I guess? .
