10/25/2015 2:46:00 PM@hein19 catfish rigs are fairly simple. The rig I use is very simple to the standard powerbait trout rig with a sliding weight, except I use a nightcrawler instead of powerbait. It sits right on the bottom, I've never needed to suspend my bait. I use a small (#6-#8) circle hook or a small 1/8 oz rooster tail. Yes, a rooster tail. Ball up a nightcrawler on the treble hook and just let it sit out there. Always hooks em right in the corner of the mouth. I've caught 3-4 pound bullhead doing this. Bullhead can be found in lots of places, but like bass, structure sometimes the key. Hope this helps
