Thanks to Ken McElmeel and John Mataka of the Seattle Poggie Club for coming out and providing adult supervision for Jeff on a typical spring day on Lake Chelan. The morning was calm and productive. As the day aged, the spring wind kicked up and made things more difficult. Jeff trolled Jeff's Drifts and Needlefish Squiddy's baited with a piece of Northern Pikeminnow at 1.2 mph within 5 feet of the bottom in the Barrens and the head of the Trench to get his fish. He picked up one nice Kokanee on 6 bites on the cheater rod, so there are some nice Kokanee filtering into the lower basin, It is a great time to fish Chelan for Mackinaw and Kokanee!
