Thought I would see what was going on with the Lake Meridian Kokanee and to be quite honest, NOT A WHOLE LOT. Barley marked any fish. Nothing hit the surface rod. Tried different combos and colors you name it. Checked out all my hot spots and even went to the middle of the lake and NOTHING. Marked a few but they were deep and not willing. Could have been perch also.

On a side note, Kokabow lure company posted a new little combo with a hoochie and Kokabow spinner blade with the beads in front and near the trail hooks. Picture included above. The trout absolutely destroyed it. Went home with a limit of trout that were caught in literally 20-30 min on the surface. I will be testing these out on Stevens Kokanee come Thursday. Pretty excited about them. Anyways, save the gas and energy when it comes to Meridian kokes. It is most def an off season this year.

Almost forgot, I did a little adventuring and followed the little creek that runs along side the main boat launch. Headed back there to see what it looked like and I saw a bunch of bass hanging out in the lilies. Snapped a few pics of them. They didn't seem to be to scared of me floating on top of them.

That looks like a tasty lure....next time!!!! Make the drive and try clear lake in Pierce county, your float tube would be perfect for that smaller lake. Good luck hope to see you out on the water.

I was there on monday, and had the same results. Ive been getting the same results. Ive been there a few times and nothing. Trout on the other hand been killing them. Maybe not in 30 min. Lol that would be cool.

At the Chelan get together they gave out some stuff and one item is this cha cha hoochie I believe. Said they just came out about week an half ago. Excited to try. Specially since I might try lake stevens this weekend if weather allows. Will be first time there so hopefully it goes well. Tight lines.

hi dj. say. i see you have a 501 garmin. i have a 500c. and, have not figured out how to adjust it, so i can see the thermocline. any reccomendations would be great. i used to have a hummingbird, that showed it very well, as a line of "distortion". it was great. as far as the kokes go, its still early. they did plant it. im sure it will pickup, in the next month. we have had an unusual spring. usually, kokes dont really take off, till mid may.
