We went out to Potholes for a couple of hours on Wednesday morning and hit the water about 8:00 launching from the State Park. We headed up to Crab Creek and started in 8-20 FOW with no luck. We moved to 20-38 FOW and had the first bite which happened to be a nice Rainbow Trout. Trolling the humps, we managed to catch 3 walleyes of which 2 of them were 15” and were released and 1 that was 17” that we kept. The last fish to be caught was another Rainbow Trout. All fish were caught using orange and yellow homemade spinners on 1 oz. bottom bouncers using planer boards trolling in "S" patterns at 1.7 mph. Fishing was slow but not too bad for a couple hours of fishing catching a total of 5 fish, we headed home at 10:30 for my son’s swim lessons.

Slower speed would help to catch more walleyes, especially when the fish is lethargic.
