So last night I was trying to figure out where to fish: Lake Stevens, Lake WA, American Lake, Area 11- Speaking of area 11, before I go on I must mention that for those of you who use the Redondo boat launch for area 11 beware!! I did go by there late yesterday to check things out and there is only about 1/3 of the parking available for boat trailers due to some construction in the parking lot.

Anyway back to the decision at hand, I chose to give American lake so I could employ my 2 pole endorsement and use some of the hootchie pills from Mack's lures I got on line! Got to the WDFW boat launch at 5:30 am and was the 4th boat in Soon I was gliding across towards the VA hospital deploying a glow spinner wedding ring on one set up and the new Mack's hootchie on the other with one set at 20' and the other at 30'.

Worked my way over by the float plane launch and was getting out of the way of a float plane taking with when my rod starts dancing and fish on! Not a monster but at least my 1st koke on American lake in a couple years even though I admit haven't put in the effort here either. Now it wasn't long before the wind picked up a little, then a little more and soon was white capping! So I thought if I got to the south side of the island it may be more protected but wasn't much better so headed to the cove by the marina across the way.

Figured why not go to basics here too so put on Toni's Orange Thang with polka dot dodger tipped with pink gulp maggots and sure enough a trout ripped it off the clip so fish on!! Got it in and soon after got another monster hit and landed my 3rd fish so decided to call it a day as once again, work was calling and someone needed some product delivered today so headed to the launch.

Now this was going to be a challenge with the wind but actually got it on the trailer on 1st attempt! As I was strapping down my boat had the pleasure of meeting Glenn, Toni's friend so exchanged greetings was cool seeing another member on the water (or just off)! Another shout out to Toni on that Orange thang as I think now it has caught kokanee, rainbows, brown trout, perch and a pikeminnow!! I'm a believer! in more ways then one!!

See you on the water!!

Thanks Barry! You got more kokanee than I did but I liked the Cutthroat I got.
