Took two great fishermen out with me Doug R and Danny B we left the launch that charges $20.00 at the park by the Renton Boeing plant and went 2.1 miles to the cable crossing in front of the Seahawks practice facility. Found Huge schools of 8-11 inch yellow perch in 48-65 feet of water along the channel the runs between the island and the shore side. You will see the schools on any working fish finder if you don't see fish don't fish there. I use a piece of foam with about 75 feet of leader on it with a small weight to mark the schools of the larger fish. I use a two arm spreader bar with short leaders to #8 snelled hook with a small ball weight 1/8 oz without a dropper so my bottom hook is just an inch above the ball. Use worms to catch the first fish should take about 15 seconds. Drift with the schools as soon as you drift off the fish move back on to them it is easier when it is not blowing out but stay over the fish your finder screen should look like a bowl of noodles. After filleting your first perch use small pieces of perch meat skin attached as bait and you can sink your boat with these things. It is nothing to catch them two at a time. We tossed a fish to a mooching bald eagle and had more fish than we needed in an hour. 200 fish for three of us. We threw back the little ones kept about 100.Great day wish the launch was free and traffic didn't exist but cant have everything...

Those are fat little guys. Sounds like fun. Hey, what area would you suggest in the north end of lake WA? That would be far more convenient for me.

Cant really say I don't know the North end the only reason I know the south end is because I retired from the Renton Boeing plant used to know a welder that fished up there but I never tried it.

We found some good schools at 60ft straight out from Houghton beach park in Kirkland back on Nov. 11th. Schools don't seem to get as big as they do down south but its constant action if you can stay on top of them.

What do they eat to get that fat? I live in lower Kennydale....is there any docks that produce perch?

I also saw a Segull land on the upspan of the I90 floating bridge (MI side) with a big bright perch in his mouth on Wednesday
