This pier offers slim to none chances of catching anything fit for the dinner table, except for crabs. Salmon do swim by occasionally, but they are usually just stray. Your best chances for fish are in the summer when quillbacks can be ravenous, and will attack just about anything (as long as it doesn't get caught in the seaweed.) The only problem with the quillbacks is that they put up almost no fight, and many times you will not be able to tell the difference between them and a chunk o' seaweed! You can also catch perch jigging bare hooks or powerbait with a small weight above. However, they seldom grow bigger than 4", so they are not fit for food, but they can be fun to fight on ultralight gear, with no more than 2 lb test.
