Roche Harbor 2005 Salmon Classic Invitational Feb 4th & 5th.
TALK ABOUT SLIM PICKINS..... 80+ boats with 4 people on each boat for (2) 10 hour days and only 36 fish caught for the entire weekend. Luckily I caught a nice 10 1/2lb blackmouth. I would love to go into the secret tackle and wonderful trolling technique, but I believe that LUCK had more to do with it. I mean, I was doing all of the right moves with all of the right gear (any color as long as it is GREEN), but so was everyone else. Aside from the lack of abundant fish (over 1/2 of the boats SKUNKED for both days)... the derby was VERY WELL ORGANIZED and a GENUINE PLEASURE to attend.
