WOW! I went charter fishing for the first time, it was great. When we got to westport the wind was just howling but the boats were going out anyway. We booked a trip on the ULTIMATE ([email protected]). The captain, Phill, was a really great guy and his first mate Fred was a great help. The captain told me what to do, and my first fish was a really BIG FISH, 36LBS. 1OZ. We all got our limts of Lingcod first and then went after the seabass, and got our limit there as well. I had so much fun! When we got back we took my REALLY BIG FISH to the weigh in place and like I said 36lbs. 1oz. I had bought a durby ticket before we had left and it paid off. We got back about 3:30pm and had to wait until 5:00pm to see if any more big fish were caught. None were and mine happened to be bigger than the last guys so I won the weekly durby of $250 and I didn't even know there was a durby when I got there until the captain told me. We came home with 34 lbs. of just meat. All I have to say is WOW! What a great time I had and I'll be doing this again.
