I took my yearly trip out of Ilwaco for Salmon the weather was very windy and wet and the ocean was pretty sloppy but the fishing was good for those who could get out (no small boats) we had no problem getting our fish which consisted of a mix of mostly silvers with a couple of Chinook(1 hatchery & 1 native) that ran about 8 pounds and Silvers running from about 4 to10 pounds with a lot of native fish that had to be released. The recent rains should do nothing but make the fishing better. Remember this fishery is open 7 days a week this year giving people a lot of opportunities to get out and hit the water in this area this season.
