Day 2 of 2 charter fishing with http://excelfishingcharters.com . Quadfather and I fished with two other friends. On the second day we targeted rock fish and ling cod. Once again the action was steady. We first got 8 lings to limit on those, then went after the easier-to-catch rock fish, which had a 10 fish limit. We were all limited by noon. The lings were a blast to fight! One friend landed a 30+ lb ling, which looked like a monster to me. Shortly after that, I landed a 20+ lb one. It was a heck of a fight. The weather was good again, except for a little mist and fog, and the water was pretty calm. We saw a pack of sea lions and even got a look at a gray whale from a distance. That whale tail comming out of the water was cool to witness.

Bottom fish chartering is one service well worth the money. Its a ton of fun, plus the money spent is more than made up for by the amount of filets taken home. Great photos!!

The bottom fishing was a hoot. It is much fun to bounce a jig until you feel it get hooked up.
