After dropping the wife off at the salon, I headed out to Pt. Defiance Boathouse to try my luck. Within the first 10 minutes, I hooked a pink but it managed to slip off as the guy next to me was trying to scoop it up with the net. After no action for the next 20 minutes, I got a big hit which I thought was a snag. The fish started peeling my line like crazy. After a brief 10-13 minute fight, I was able to reel it the edge of the dock...to my amazement, it was a hatchery king--first king of the season. Not too sure why it went after my pink buzz bomb but no complaints out of me.

For the next 30 minutes, there would be no more action before getting the call I dreaded from the wife that her hair was done so it was time to pack up and leave. I gave a 4 rating due to the short amount of time I spent before getting a fish.
