I got in the line at the top of the hill to wait for the gate to open. My sister-in-law Pinkpole was already parked. She called my cell phone and said the gate was open. But the line wasn’t moving, I told her. She said, that was because they were all fishing from shore. So I swing past everyone and got down there to find the gate closed and the policeman yelling at me about passing all those people up. Pinkpole came up and I was able to blame her. So loosing my place in line, I turned around and got to the end of the line way up the hill.
Come to find out the gate opens to the parking lot before the dock gate but the policeman made them close it until he said it was 6am.
I got a parking space and headed out to the dock as 2 pinks were flopping on the walk way. I told Pinkpole I lost those fish ‘cause I had to go to the end of the line. JK
Morning fishing was OK but the afternoon fishing was much better. I think the school that came in was much larger than in the morning. The water was murky so it was hard to see the fish.
We found that the crab ring net holes were too big that we were using. The fish I netted for Pinkpole come off the hook dropping into the net and then right through. My fish fell out but onto the dock. My other one was big enough it didn’t go through.
We left at 2pm. So in 8 hours of fishing we were Pinkpole 0-6 and I was 2-4. I was using my 2 new Rabbit DPS and she used DPS 1 or 2.
The tides were: Low 3:20 AM 1.9ft High 9:24 AM 9.5ft Low 3:06 PM 3.8ft

These are 1/2oz. I use them in salt water and find 1/4 oz isn't enough weight.
